ABOUT THE 2020 RIDE

May 23, 2020 will be the 17th Annual AngelRide! We are proud to continue our partnership with our new beneficiary: Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp, established in 1991 for severely burned children between the ages of 8 – 18, located in Union, CT.

There are many options for AngelRiders of all ages to get involved.

  • Metric Century: Adults and Teens can ride 62 miles from Camp Wightman in North Stonington to the finish line at The Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp in Union, CT. Some riders will have the opportunity to stay overnight at Camp Wightman on Friday (space is limited). All riders and their families/supporters will have a unique opportunity for a guided tour of The Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp! $100 registration fee. $500 fundraising commitment.
  • Quarter Century: Adults and Teens can ride 25 miles to the finish line at The Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp in Union, CT. All riders and their families/supporters will have a unique opportunity for a guided tour of The Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp! $100 registration fee. $500 fundraising commitment.
  • Teen Rider: For ages 13-17, either the Metric Century or Quarter Century ride. $100 registration fee. $500 fundraising commitment.
  • Little AngelRide: For ages 7-12, a 6-mile ride. $25 registration fee. $100 fundraising commitment.

Friday Night Events at Camp

Riders have the incredible opportunity to stay overnight at Camp Wightman in North Stonington on Friday night (space is limited). Highlights include:

  • Meet the Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp staff and counselors – including a bunch who were campers not long ago!
  • Dinner in the Dining Hall
  • Ice cream social
  • Evening entertainment

Saturday Morning

All riders are welcome to participate in the Saturday morning activities:

  • Fife & Drum
  • Breakfast in the Dining Hall
  • Group photo
  • Send-off ceremony by a camper who is now a counselor

Finish Line at The Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp!

It might be the finish line but the fun isn’t over yet:

  • A unique opportunity for golf cart tours guided by CT Burns Care Foundation folks and Camp counselors!
