Fundraising FAQ

It’s easy!

  1. Register for AngelRide! During that process you will be asked to set up a personal fundraising page. You can get started there and finish later.
  2. Check your email (From: Angel Charities, Subject: Almost Done…) to finish setting up your page. You will be able to use the pre-filled content or customize what you like.
  3. During your page set up you can also start or join a TEAM. This can be done later too.

What does our NEW fundraising platform, GroupRev, look like?

Take a peek at how to find where you and your donors want to go. Below is the AngelRide Fundraising homepage. Yours will look the same except with your name (or whatever you call your fundraising page).

Yes, AngelRide is designed as a fundraising event. AngelRide CLASSIS participants are expected to raise at least $500. AngelRide REMOTE participants are expected to raise $250. If you are able to do more, please…go for it! Many AngelRiders raise 5-6 times the goal that we set! Remember why we are here, to support children with life-altering burn injuries at The Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp.

We have lots of fundraising tips to help you reach (and even exceed) your goals! In order to plan our gift to the Camp, please submit your donations by July 1, 2022.

We’re glad you asked! All the proceeds will benefit The Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp. An old fashioned nature-filled camp for children ages 8-18 who have survived life-altering burn injuries. Campers regain physical and emotional strength from their peers and their Camp family. Counselors are volunteers: firefighters, healthcare professionals and adult burn survivors.

Checks must be payable to Angel Charities or AngelRide. Please mail to:

Angel Charities

Thank you!

Offline donations can take up to 3 weeks to process. These donations will not appear immediately.

The Remote AngelRide involves gathering virtually and participating individually on a route of your choosing. We had so much fun and a great turnout for the 2020 AngelRide PokerRide that we will carry that forward! AngelRide Remote 2021 welcomes cyclists (indoors or outdoors), mountain bikers, runners, and walkers! (If you’re interested in riding a motorcycle, contact us!)

Check our EVENTS page for fun ways that we are gathering virtually though out the year. Plans for in-person small group rides and Meet-ups this spring are in the works too!

We are planning an in-person Appreciation Event for September 12, 2021!

For 2022, we plan to return to the “classic” in-person 1-day AngelRide with “remote” opportunities added in. The Classic AngelRide enjoys gathering in-person to re-connect, hear about the kids at Camp, and be entertained! We will provide a Metric Century, Quarter Century and Little AngelRide! SAG, MotoCrew, Medical Riders and Bike Techs will support you along the AngelRide route. Rest Stops at Fire Stations will offer nourishment, facilities and cheering volunteers too! A Finish Line celebration will be waiting for you! The Remote rides are fantastic however we will love, love, love returning to this in-person AngelRide – we’ll continue the Remote option too!

Little AngelRiders can join their parents in AngelRide Remote! Let us know and we will send them some AngelRide swag too! Email us at info@angelride.org or text/call 860-227-9452. Fun!

We look forward to offering an in-person Little AngelRide route in 2022.

Definitely not. You can do it! Start by choosing a training route that aligns with your ability. After a bit, challenge yourself and increase the difficulty or distance. Make sure to add in some hills. Training is effective indoors or outdoors.

No matter what your level, you will benefit from reading our Preparation & Safety Tips.

For the 2021 “Remote” AngelRide, the Finish line is wherever you choose! Ask someone in your household to be there cheering for you. You just did something great!

AngelRide Remote 2021

Take photos! When you stop of course 🙂 Share them with your Card Dealer and we will add you to the Closing Ceremony slideshow!
