Angel Charities/AngelRide is focused on raising critical funds and awareness for The Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp, operated by the CT Burns Care Foundation.

We are very excited that beginning in 2019, AngelRide supports The Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp operated by The Connecticut Burns Care Foundation. We are proud of the difference AngelRide made in the lives of the campers at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp from 2004-2018, especially their Hospital Outreach Program.

Thank you for joining us in this good work. We appreciate you!

We are expanding the Little AngelRide and welcoming cyclists of all ages and abilities. With that comes a new name – the Halo AngelRide! Like the other routes, this fun 3-mile group ride will start and finish at the Essex CT Fire Department on June 3, 2023.

You can hold your own Halo AngelRide Remote on June 3-4th as well!

Definitely not. You can do it! Start by choosing a training routine that aligns with your ability. After a bit, challenge yourself and increase the difficulty or distance. Make sure to add in some hills. Training is effective indoors or outdoors.

Our Metric Century route, almost 62 miles, is challenging and scenic for the more experienced cyclist.

Our 20-mile Anniversary route is scenic with some hills.

Our 3-mile Halo route is a flat, fun, group ride for cyclists of all ages and abilities.

No matter what your level, you will benefit from reading our Preparation & Safety Tips.

For the “Classic” AngelRide, the Start and Finish are at the Essex CT Fire Department.

For the “Remote” AngelRide, the Finish line is wherever you choose!

For either version of AngelRide, invite friends and family to be there cheering for you. You are doing something great!

  4. During your page set up you can also start or join a TEAM. This can be done later too.

What does our fundraising platform, GroupRev, look like?

Take a peek at how to find where you and your donors want to go. Below is a past AngelRide Fundraising homepage. Yours will look like this with the appropriate year AND with your name (or whatever you call your fundraising page).

Yes, AngelRide is designed as a fundraising event. We have modest minimum commitments detailed is the tab “AngelRide 2023” and on the first Registration page. If you are able to do more than that, please…go for it! Many AngelRiders raise 5-6 times the goal that we set! Volunteers have the option to fundraise too!

Here are a few suggestions:

  • Remember that you are doing this for the kids! Watch this video for inspiration HERE.
  • Share what you are doing at AngelRide with your donors and potential donors. They want to support you in this good work. They are part of AngelRide’s success too so bring them along by sharing a photo or two. And you can invite them to the Start and/or Finish too!
  • We have lots of fundraising tips to help you reach (and even exceed) your goals including attending a small group Text-athon. We will share those dates in an email blast, or reach out to us at info@AngelRide.org
  • In order to plan our gift to the Camp, all donations must be received by June 30, 2023.

We’re glad you asked! All the proceeds will benefit The Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp. An old-fashioned nature-filled camp for children ages 8-18 who have survived life-altering burn injuries. Campers regain physical and emotional strength from their peers and their Camp family. Counselors are volunteers: firefighters, healthcare professionals and adult burn survivors.
