A Message From the Man Who Stood Up

No matter how much you give, being part of a community like the AngelRide will always give you more back. They turn every setback, pain and heartache into love, beauty and smiles. They are the currency of hope.

I’d like to tell you a little bit about what the AngelRide means to me and more importantly what it could mean to you.

ed-dean.jpgI’m sitting here on a porch swing after just having returned from my daily walk. The fact is I wouldn’t be walking without the AngelRide community.

I’m a recovering quadriplegic. It is not the doctors, nor some miracle drug that allowed me to recover as far as I have. It is the support, friendship and love of the AngelRide community.

During my 2 month stay at hospital, the AngelRide community visited me daily. It’s the kind of support they supply to tens of thousands of kids with serious illnesses in hospitals up and down the East Coast. The kind of support that gives hope to tens of thousands of children every year.

AngelRiders never stop climbing. I can never stop trying to recover because of the hope they gave me.

No matter how much you give, being part of a community like the AngelRide will always give you more back. They turn every setback, pain and heartache into love, beauty and smiles. They are the currency of hope.

I am walking proof of the power of belonging to the AngelRide community.

No child ever asked to be sick and every child deserves a chance to smile. Become part of a team that will never stop climbing. Come and ride with us, support a rider if you can’t. Make the world a better place and put a smile on a seriously ill child today.
